Leader2Leader Abroad launched in 2024 with a mission to create international exchange opportunities around the world. We serve community and faith leaders, emerging global leaders, and social impact entrepreneurs.
In 2024, Leader2Leader Abroad held its exchange at Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Since that time, our work has expanded to include mission immersions, B2B exchange and emerging leader cohort opportunities.
About Our Founder
Dawn Sanders, M.Div is a missional entrepreneur, working alongside faith and justice advocates in the US and abroad. Dawn has served as the program director for international organizations such as the Lott Carey Convention and International Justice Mission.
In 2018, hosted her first short-term mission team as a solopreneur. For six years, she led cross-cultural leadership initiatives to Africa, Australia, Europe, and Puerto Rico.
In 2024, Dawn began Leader2Leader Abroad, with a mission to deepen connections between US leaders, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and their industry peers in the Global South. Leader2Leader Abroad launched its first delegation at Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
In celebration of 15 years of international service and missional impact, Dawn established the Leader2Leader Abroad Institute to create leadership development, ministry formation, and community and parachurch training opportunities.
Leader2Leader Abroad Institute (Present): Young Adult Leaders - South Africa
Leader2Leader Abroad (2024-Present): Deployed five (5) leadership cohorts to Africa.
Pioneer Learning International (2018-2023): Deployed ten (10) leadership cohorts to Africa, Australia, and Europe.
Lott Carey (2011-2017): Deployed twenty-five (25) leadership cohorts to the Caribbean, Canada, Africa, and Australia.
